information from hospitals, school doctors and education authorities. Copies of
relevant information are forwarded to doctors in the schools. The register ensures
that each child receives all of the help and special facilities that are available to
it and also provides statistics from which future requirements for medical and
educational care of handicapped children can be predicted.
