Population.
The Registrar-General's estimate of the population of the
Borough at mid-year, 1936, is 224,000, which figure has been
employed in calculating the various mortality and other rates
appearing in this Report.
Births.

The following information in regard to the registration of live births in the Borough during the year 1936 was supplied by the Registrar-General:-
