Bye-laws for the Protection of Food.—New Bye-laws made by
the London County Council came into force during the year and are
intended to promote sanitary and cleanly conditions in the manufacture,
preparation, storage, transport, or exposure for sale of any
article intended for food.
Pharmacy and Poisons, Act, 1933.
On the 1st May, the provisions of Part II of the Act, in so far
as they relate to the sale and distribution, etc., of poisons and
poisonous substances, came into operation, and the names of
tradesmen suitable for registration have been entered on the Council's
list of persons entitled to sell poisons included in Part II of the
Poisons List, which includes such articles as Spirits of Salts,
Ammonia, Sulphuric Acid, Nitric Acid, Salts of Lemon, Arsenical
and Mercurial Poisons, etc.
