Typhoid Fever.
Five cases of this disease were notified, and all were removed
to Hospital. In one of the cases the diagnosis was not confirmed.
Of the four actual cases one contracted the disease outside the
Borough and in the other three the source of infection was not
traced. There were no fatal cases.
Para-typhoid Fever.—Seventeen cases of this disease occurred,
and fifteen of them were removed to Hospital. In one of the cases
the diagnosis was not confirmed. Two of the cases each gave rise
to a secondary case. In one case the disease was contracted outside
the Borough and in the other cases, with the exception of the two
secondary cases, the source of infection was not traced. There were
no fatal cases.
Small-Pox.—No cases of Small-Fox were notified.

Ophthalmia Neonatorum.—During the year four cases of this disease were notified. Particulars of the cases are set out in the forms prescribed by the Ministry of Health:—
