The following diseases are compulsorily notifiable in the
Borough:—
Acute Encephalitis Lethargica Hydrophobia
Acute Influenzal Pneumonia Glanders
Acute Primary Pneumonia Malaria
Acute Polio-Encephalitis Membranous Croup
Acute Polio-Myelitis Ophthalmia Neonatorum
Anthrax Plague
Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis Puerperal Fever
Cholera Puerperal Pyrexia
Continued Fever Relapsing Fever
Diphtheria Scarlet Fever
Dysentery Smallpox
Erysipelas Tuberculosis
Enteric (or Typhoid) Fever Typhus Fever

Notifications.

There was a substantial decrease in the incidence of infectious disease, and, excluding tuberculosis, which is dealt with separately in another part of this Report, 1,465 cases were notified, compared with 2,243 in 1934. The figures for the last three years are given in detail in the following table:—
