Bacteriological Work.
Increasing use is made of the facilities afforded by the
Council for bacteriological work at the St. John's Hospital, and
during the year 2834 specimens were examined, compared with
2702 in the previous year, the details being as follows: —

Disinfection.
The Disinfecting Station is housed at the Council's Depot
in Molesworth Street, Lewisham, and the staff consists of the
Superintendent, one Boiler Attendant, and five Disinfectors, two
of whom are drivers for motor vehicles in which the infected
articles are collected and returned.
