Water from Wells
There are a number of wells in use, the majority of which, however, supply
water used only for industrial purposes. The water from two wells is used for
drinking purposes, or for the preparation of food. Reports of the analysis of
water from these wells are received regularly and have been satisfactory for the
year under review.
Swimming Pools
There are a number of swimming pools in the Borough including Clapham
Manor Street Baths and Streatham Baths, which are the responsibility of the
Council. All these pools are subject to regular inspections and sampling of
water.
I am indebted to the Scientific Adviser of the Greater London Council for the following report on the bacteriological examination of the water during 1968:-
