ERYSIPELAS
Nine cases occurred compared with 14 in 1965, a reduction of 5.
PUERPERAL PYREXIA
The incidence of this disease was practically the same, 83 cases being
notified compared with 84 in 1965.
OPHTHALMIA NEONATORUM
Five infants were notified as suffering from the disease compared with 27 in
1965, a reduction of 22.
FOOD POISONING
13 notifications were received compared with 34 in 1965. This was a
reduction of 21.
In all instances the causative agent was not identified. The cases were
sporadic and there was no general or family outbreak.
SALMONELLA INFECTIONS (Not Food Borne)
In addition to the notified cases the following Salmonella infections were
brought to the notice of the Health Department.
