PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER,
INFECTIOUS AND OTHER DISEASES.
Under the Compulsory Notification Sections of the Public
Health (London) Act, 1891, and the Orders and Regulations made
thereunder 2,114 cases of infectious diseases (excluding tuberculosis)
were reported during the year. This number is less than
the number (7,718) reported in the previous year, a large proportion
of which was attributable to measles.
