(Inaugurated by the late Vestry on December 8th, 1898).

N.B.—Since the Laboratory was inaugurated in 1898 (up to the end of 1926)—a period of 28 years—27,319 Examinations have been
conducted in connection with the following suspected diseases, viz.:—Tuberculosis, 9,574; typhoid or "enteric" fever, 1,200; diphtheria
16,218 ; and others (sundry and special), 327 ; giving an annual average of 975.6 total samples.
