¢Two animals died
Certain milk obtained from a farm in another area was found to be bacteriologically
contaminated.. The dairy which was responsible to deliver this milk to customers in the
Borough co-operated and ceased to deliver until the circumstances had been thoroughly
investigated and it was considered safe to release it. Due to the wide distribution of this
milk other metropolitan areas were also affected. It was considered that the adverse reports
pointed to the holding time at weekends after cooling and before bottling and delivery
Regular sampling of the milk from this source is still being carried out.
