4 Period of Membership
Members of the Committee shall hold office until their successors are
appointed by the organisations or bodies set out in paragraph 3 above.
3 Appointment of Honorary Secretary
The Medical Officer of Health or his Deputy will be the Honorary Secretary
and all administrative and executive action will be carried out through and in
the Public Health Department assisted by an officer of the Public Health
Department nominated by the Medical Officer of Health or his Deputy.
6, Meetings
The Committee shall meet in the Town Hall as and when required and at the
direction of the Chairman or Vice-Chairman and three days' notice of meetings
shall be given to Members. The quorum shall be five members.
The inaugural meeting of the Committee was held on the 30th October 1958.
Home Safety - November Publicity Campaign
During the year the Home Office issued its Circular 58/1958 in which it
was proposed to launch a National Campaign on the theme of "Guard that Fire"
to take place during the month of November, and asked for the co operation of
local authorities, among others, in the organising of local campaigns.
