RAG FLOCK.
Three samples were taken under the Public Health (London) Act, 1936,
and the Rag Flock Regulations, 1912. Two of the samples were found to be
satisfactory, but one did not comply with the Regulations, as the amount of soluble
chlorine in the form of chlorides was found to be 61.1 parts per 100,000, whereas the
amount of soluble chlorine permitted under the Regulations should not exceed 30
parts per 100,000. After consultation with the Council's Solicitor it was decided that
a strong letter of warning would be sufficient to meet the case, and this was done.
