In the wards greater co-operation with the Borough Council has been sought
by the periodic visits of the Assistant Medical Officer, and certain changes have been
introduced with a view to minimising the risks of cross infection.

The Annual Reports of the four Voluntary Welfare Centres cover the period 1st April, 1937, to 31st March, 1938, and the following table summarises the attendances, etc. of the various departments of the Centres over the twelve months' period indicated:—
