SEPTIC DISEASES.
Erysipelas and Puerperal Septicaemia are the notifiable diseases of this class.
Erysipelas—14 deaths were returned from this disease, or 10 less than in
the year 1934, and 1 below the average of the preceding ten years 1925-34.
Puerperal Diseases.-—These comprise Puerperal Pyaemia, Septicaemia,
Septic Intoxication and Puerperal Fever, and they caused 8 deaths, being four less
than in 1934, and were equal to the average of the ten years 1925-34. The deathrate
was equal to 1.7 per 1,000 births.
Anthrax, Glanders, Farcy, Tetanus, etc.—No death was recorded
during 1935.
INDUSTRIAL DISEASES.
Lead Poisoning, Chrome, etc.— No death from any of these causes was
recorded.
CANCER.

TUBERCULOSIS.
Tuberculosis caused 223 deaths, which were 116 below the average of the
last decennium, and were 57 below the number registered in 1934. The deathrate
resulting from them was equal to 0.72 per 1,000 of the civil population, and
represented 6.6 per cent, of the deaths from all causes during the year.
