Institutions, including Schools.—110 children under 5 years of age passed
through institutions. These children are medically examined periodically by an
appointed Medical Officer. No resident school child under 9 years of age was
reported during the year.
The St. Luke's " Guest House," Penn Road, N.7, co-operates with the North
Islington Welfare Centre, where the children may be sent for any treatment such
as massage or artificial " Sunlight," and where cod liver oil, etc., may be obtained.
Number of foster-children who attended Welfare Centres or under private
medical practitioners, 101.
Of these, 93 attended Centres and 8 private practitioners.

REPORT ON THE WORK OF THE DAY NURSERIES RECEIVING GRANTS FROM THE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

There are three Day Nurseries in the Borough.

*Guest House.
The " Guest House " in connection with St. Luke's Day Nursery has accommodation
for 12 children (and two extra in an emergency). During the year
ending March 31st, 1935, the admissions numbered 50. The accommodation has
always been fully taken up, and there were many demands for admission which
could not be complied with.
