Chief Tuberculosis Officer.
During the year 1,250 persons were examined by the Tuberculosis Officers,
and the patients made 8,154 attendances.
At the Northern Dispensary there were 641 new cases, and at the Southern
609, while the attendances at the former were 3,153 and at the latter 5,001. 1 he
examination of contacts with tuberculous cases showed that 48 were suffering from
