TUBERCULOSIS.
Tuberculosis caused 345 deaths, which were 57 below the average of the
last decennium, and were 13 below the number registered in 1928. The deathrate
resulting from them was equal to 1.08 per 1,000 of the civil population, and
represented 7.3 per cent. of the deaths from all causes during the year.

There was a decrease of30on the ten years' average number of deaths, and of0.05on the mean death-rate.
