POPULATION.
The number of the population at mid-year 1928, is estimated at 324,700
persons. There was, therefore, a decrease in the population of 6,037 when
compared with the number of inhabitants ascertained at the census in 1921.
The following tables give the distribution of the population in the several
sub-registration districts and wards, together with particulars of their areas and
densities.
