EDUCATIONAL PROPAGANDA.
(Health Week).
In addition to the routine information afforded from the Public Health Department,
and the leaflets issued to the public, a special effort was made during Health
Week to interest the citizens in health. 1 he special subject taken by the Welfare
Centres this year was "The Care of the Mother and Child." A special cinema
display was arranged through the kindness of the proprietors of the Empress
Picture Theatre, Upper Street, on Friday, 5th October, at 10.30 a.m. Councillor
F. W. Nokes, J.P., Mayor of Islington, presided. The films shown were "A
Dangerous Handicap," "Giro the Germ," "Where there's Life there's 'Ope,"
followed by a local film The poster entitled "Islington Health Election" was
re-issued during Health Week, and a Health Week Leaflet as in previous years
