Licensed Premises.
There are 77 licensed premises in the Borough, and during the year 91 inspections
and 49 re-inspections were carried out. One notice was served under the Public Health
(London) Act, 1936, and three notices were served under the Food and Drugs Act. 1938.
In addition, 58 reports were submitted to the Licensing Justices, in respect of
premises where application had been made for the grant, re-grant or transfer of a licence
under the Licensing (Consolidation) Act, 1910.

Food Sampling. A total of 600 samples of foods and drugs were purchased and submitted to the Borough Analyst for chemical analysis during the year. 598 were formal samples and 2 were informal.
