Typhus Fever.
No case of typhus fever was notified during the year in the Borough or in
London.
Cerebro-Spinal Fever.
Four cases of cerebro-spinal fever were notified in the Borough.
One hundred and seventy-five cases were notified in London, giving rise to
131 deaths.
Bacillary Dysentery.
Two cases of bacillary dysentery occurred. One was a child age seven years,
a resident of Holborn, who at the date of notification was an in-patient in a hospital
to which he had been admitted for treatment for injuries resulting from a motor
accident. The other was a nurse at a hospital.
Malaria.
No case of malaria was notified.
Encephalitis Lethargica.
No case of encephalitis lethargica was notified in the Borough during the year.

The following table gives information up to the end of 1931 respecting the 13 real cases of encephalitis lethargica notified in the Borough since the Public Health (Encephalitis Lethargica) Regulations came into force on the 1st January, 1919:—
