Speech Therapy
We are more fortunate than most Inner London Boroughs in
having three full-time and three part-time Speech Therapists visiting
the Inner London Education Authority schools in the Borough.
Despite this, it was necessary to maintain a small waiting list. The
number of children awaiting treatment did not exceed a total of 41
at any time.
Vaccination and Immunisation
Total vaccinations and immunisations for the London Borough
of Greenwich were higher than any of the other Inner London
Boroughs with the exception of immunisation against Whooping
Cough; in this the Borough took the third highest place. The
average vaccination against Smallpox was 78.7%. Immunisation
against Diphtheria was 92.2%, Poliomyelitis 91.9% and Whooping
Cough 85.4%.
John Kerr Brown,
Principal School Medical Officer.
