TT.58Butter PowderConsisted of a Powdered Butter Compound, containing butter, sugar and added non-fatty milk solids.Following correspondence with the Manufacturers, it has been ascertained that this commodity is for use in the food manufacturing field and will never be prepacked for retail sale. In view of this there is no infringement of either the Food and Drugs Act or the Labelling of Food Order, and it has been suggested that a more accurate description of the product in the future would be "Butter Compound Powder".
TT.93Mix for Hot Wine DrinkAll six products were prepacked each in two containers but the inner container did not bear a statement of ingredients as required by the Labelling of Food Order. TT.97 contained two artificial colouring matters, one of which, Brilliant Blue FCF, is not permitted in food by the Colouring Matter in Food Regulations.Importers informed that all six varieties of Cocktail Mix infringed the Labelling of Food Order, 1953, by reason of the fact that the list of ingredients were not printed on the inner containers. One hundred and fifty cartons of Cocktail Mix Daiquiri were detained because it contained a non-permitted colouring matter namely Brilliant Blue FCF.
