CHEST CLINIC REPORT
I am indebted to Drs. P. Forgacs and D. G. Wraith, Chest
Physicians at the Greenwich Chest Clinic for the following Report
on Tuberculosis in the Borough.
The Clinic Tuberculosis register is as under:—

31 new cases of pulmonary tuberculosis were notified during the year in the undermentioned age groups:—

Five cases of non-pulmonary tuberculosis were notified (two
men, Rt. kidney) and three women (one renal tuberculosis, one
tuberculous ulceration left leg and one spine).
Forty patients have been transferred out to other Clinics and
29 have been transferred into this Clinic. 138 ante-natal patients
have been X-rayed but there was no tuberculous disease found
amongst these.
The majority (26) new cases of pulmonary tuberculosis were
referred to the Chest Clinic from the family doctor, two were
diagnosed posthumously and three were found as a result of routine
follow-up examination of family contacts of known tuberculous
cases. 168 contacts of tuberculous persons have been X-rayed.
