TT. 98Herring Salad, CannedThe can was "blown" due to the pressure of gases produced by decomposition and the contents, which had not been sterilised when canned, were unfit for human consumption.The Importers were acquainted with the Analyst's findings and undertook to withdraw all "blown" or otherwise doubtful cans.
