MARRIAGES.
Mr. J. Abercrombie, the Superintendent Registrar of the Green—
wich Registration District, has kindly furnished me with particulars
relating to the number of marriages solemnised or registered in the
Borough of Greenwich during 1954. The total of 771 gives a
marriage rate of 17.07 a decrease of 0.13 from that of the previous
vear.

The following table shows these particulars giving the number of marriages in the Borough for each year since 1938 :—
