86
year all the functions of a care committee were being carried out.
50 patients were in receipt of allowances under memorandum 266/T
of the Ministry of Health. Assistance for patients not eligible under
this scheme was obtained from the Social Welfare Officer, and various
charitable organisations—in particular the British Red Cross
Society and the Sailors', Soldiers', and Airmens Families Association.
The usual summer outing was arranged when 60 patients were
taken to Brighton, and an excellent Christmas Party was held in the
Handicraft Centre.
