nett figure of 1,336.
Dental Clinic.—The Council's Dentist, Mr. G. F. Ferris,
L.D.S., R.C.S. (Eng.), attends at the Dispensary, Maze Hill, once
a fortnight to deal with cases referred to him from the Welfare
Centres and Clinics. To enable him to cope with the increasing
number of "fillings and scalings" an extra session is held once a
month.

Minor Ailments.—On several occasions during the year
attention was drawn to the fact that children referred from the
Centres were kept for long periods on a waiting list for admission.
At the end of the year the Maternity and Child Welfare Committee
had under consideration the making of alternative arrangements
which would obviate this delay in provision of necessary treatment.
Birth Control
The Greenwich Women's Welfare Centre opened its Clinic in
March, 1935, at 118, Woolwich Road, S.E.10.
The main object of this Clinic is to provide sound medical
advice by a woman doctor for married women. Cases are recommended
from the Council's Welfare Clinics when in the opinion of
the Maternity Medical Officer such advice is necessary. During
the year 1938, 11 cases were referred for treatment. In necessitous
cases the Council meets the cost.
L.C.C. School Clinic
A clinic is provided at 22, Park Row, Greenwich, and the
following facilities provided:—
Dental.—Every morning except Saturday and also Friday
afternoons. Treatment, except for urgent cases, is given only by
previous appointment.
