SECTION E.
Inspection and Supervision of Food.
Milk Supply.—This is obtained from farms, and supply
companies situate outside the Borough. Approximately 200
gallons, which is relatively a small quantity, enters the district
daily unpasteurised. Of this about half is equivalent to "Tuberculin

The dairyman concerned with the sale of this raw milk has undertaken,
on the advice of the Food Inspector, to instal a pasteurising
plant in the near future.
Manor Farm, Kidbrooke, where formerly about 100 cows were
kept and which supplied a large amount of raw milk to the Borough
was closed in October 1937. The land is being used for building
purposes, and thus, to meet the increasing demand for houses, one
of the remaining " agricultural areas of London " passes.
