Toddlers' Clinic.—During the year the Maternity and Child
Welfare Committee gave consideration to a Circular issued by the
Ministry of Health as to supervision of children between the ages
of 1—5 years and further requiring the Council generally to review
the Scheme.
A Special Report was submitted to the Maternity and Child
Welfare Committee by your Medical Officer of Health setting out
in detail the procedure as at present obtaining and suggestions
as to improving and consolidating the Scheme.
In view of the disorganization of the Centres at the end of the
year consequent upon the closing down of the Borough Hall Centre
due to the demolition of the building as part of the New Town Hall
Scheme and the difficulty of finding new temporary quarters it
was decided to adopt the proposals outlined only so far as it was
possible.
