Various circulars and medical reports have been issued by the
Ministry of Health with regard to the possibility of control of this
disease. It is again pointed out that the Public Health Department
in general gains no definite knowledge of the incidence or possibilities
of cure of the disease, owing to the fact that the main source of
information is still the Death Returns. Even with continuous and
widespread propaganda, patients still tend to delay seeking advice
until the disease becomes impossible to eradicate, and until the
patient can be educated to seek diagnosis at an earlier date,
malignant disease will continue to swell the mortality rates.
