with tuberculous lesions have been reported, as well as 15 cases of
carcinoma of the lung. Pinal diagnosis are awaited from 28 cases. Clinics
generally record sputum findings.
For the larger part of the year the Unit operated at the Mass
Radiography Centre, 20 Golden Lane, although from time to time it was
anticipated that it would move to its new accommodation in the Public
Services Building in Moor Lane, but so far the building has not been
completed. This uncertainty has affected the Unit's planning and correspondingly
the attendances.
During its mobile period the Unit visited such organisations as the
Bank of England, Mount Pleasant Post Office and the Finsbury Health
Centre (by kind permission of the Public Health Committee of the Borough
of Finsbury). The Unit operated at the Health Centre from 14th July to 27th
August during which period it concentrated upon firms in the northern portion
of the Borough and firms in the Ludgate Circus area, as direct transport
facilities are available for the latter. It should be pointed out that firms in
the southern section of the Borough are conveniently situated to the Mass
Radiography Centre at Golden Lane.

Handbills giving details of the Public Sessions, at which no appointments were necessary, were issued as well as posters. The undermentioned Table summarises the results of the Finsbury Survey:-
