Tuberculosis:
The total number of new cases entered in the register during
the year was 44. The distribution by sex and age, and according
as to whether the case was of Pulmonary or Non-pulmonary Tuberculosis,
was -

These figures do not necessarily correspond, due to technical
reasons with those shown in the report of the Chest Physician.
The Non-pulmonary cases include:-
1 Right shoulder; 1 Pelvis.
The notification rate for all forms of tuberculosis was 12.92
per 10,000.
The total number of cases remaining on the register after adjustment for deaths and transfers was, on 31st December, 1959.

The full details of each case obtained by the Tuberculosis
Visitor were, by kind co-operation of the London County Council,
made available to, and any preventive measures possible co-ordinated
with those of the Borough Council.
There was one death from pulmonary tuberculosis as follows:A
male aged 48.
There were no deaths from non-pulmonary tuberculosis.
