Unfit Houses
Although it has not been possible to secure the demolition or
closure of many of the unfit houses in the Borough because of the
difficulties in securing accommodation for displaced occupants and
because of the general housing shortage, it has been found necessary
to do this in a limited number of instances where the property was
particularly unhealthy. The procedure was easier in some cases where
the property was not occupied.

The following table sets out the properties which have been dealt with as unfit since the war and in respect of which demolition or closing orders have been made on representations submitted
