2. A case notified in February.
The individual concerned had abdominal pain, diarrhoea and
vomiting. No other member of the family complained of any illness.
The probable cause was considered to be a meal taken at home.
3. A case notified in February.
The information regarding this case was received from a
hospital, where the individual concerned was an in-patient. Investigations
were carried out at the hospital. No other member of the
family complained of any illness. The probable cause was considered
to be whelks.
4. A case notified in February.
The child concerned had diarrhoea, but no vomiting or pain.
No other member of the family complained of any illness. The
probable cause was considered to be Corned Beef Pie.
5. Three cases notified in September.
In each case (one of which was a child) the individuals concerned
had abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea. The probable cause in
each case was uncertain.
