Dr. R. C. Townshend reports on the work of the
Maternity Clinic, as follows : —
Report on the Ante-Natal Clinic during the year 1931.
I have to report that there have been no maternal
deaths amongst the mothers attending the Ante-Natal Clinic.
I have to report a decrease in the average attendance
per session, although the number of new cases of expectant
mothers was practically the same as in the preceding year.
I think the decrease is due to the following factors: —
1. The institution of a weekly instead of a monthly
Post-natal session.
2. The formation of a weekly Post-natal Clinic by
the London Hospital.
3. The formation of the new Ante-natal Clinic in
Hereford Street.
