Bakehouses.
There were 12 bakehouses on the register at the end of the year,
eight having been closed during the year. All these are classed as
factories, and 10 of them use mechanical power. Thirty-four inspections
were made but it was not necessary to serve any notices.
Three of the bakehouses were "basement bakehouses" within the
meaning of Section 54 of the Factories Act, 1937.
