deaths belonging to the Borough was 1,954 (males 980, females
974). This gives a recorded death-rate of 11.9 compared with
11.6 for London, and 11.7 for England and Wales.
According to the factor supplied by the Registrar-General,
for correction of death-rate in reference to age and sex distribution,
the corrected death-rate for Battersea during 1928 was 11.5.
