The Care Committee met weekly during 1928, and the following
is a summary of the work carried out by the Committee :—

The contributions of patients who were sent away for appropriate
institutional treatment, collected by the Dispensary and
remitted to the London County Council, amounted to £684 6s. 0d.
The following are some illustrations of the work done by the
Care Committee throughout the year:—
C.E., aged 16.—Boy was doing well at elementary school,
contracted enteric—in hospital for nine months. Tubercular
trouble developed in hip—transferred to hospital for surgical
tuberculosis. Away from home for three years. Could not get
employment as he had had no training and left school before he had
finished his education. Care Committee referred case to After
Care Association for Crippled Children and in a very short time he
had started commercial training and was doing well.
F. G., aged 64.—Patient's father. Had been a butcher for
many years but was unable to get further work as he was nearly
blind. The family were in poor circumstances, and the
