The four day nurseries established by the Council continued to operate during the period under review.

Foot Clinic
The Council's Foot Clinic at 240, Ladbroke Grove, commenced
work on the 2nd February, 1948. The opening ceremony was
performed by His Worship the Mayor. Members of the Public Health
and Maternity and Child Welfare Committees were present to see
the commencement of this new branch of the Council's work.
Up to the time the Clinic was transferred to the London
County Council, nearly 2,000 attendances had been made.
TUBERCULOSIS
Notifications
During the year, 258 new cases of tuberculosis were
notified, of which 227 were respiratory and 31 non-respiratory
cases.
