This station measures the amount of smoke suspended in the air
and the sulphur dioxide content of the atmosphere. The apparatus
consists of a smoke filter and a hydrogen peroxide bubbler.
Readings were taken daily by an officer of the Public Health
Department and the results are averaged to produce figures for each
month.
All information obtained from these readings was forwarded to
the Fuel Research Station for correlation with the results obtained
from other sites throughout the country.

The following table shows the results obtained from this station during the year:-
