ROAD ACCIDENTS
The total number of road accidents occurring within the Borough
during 1963 was 468, causing 619 casualties, 2 of which proved fatal.
Compared with the figures for the previous year when 452 accidents
caused 542 casualties resulting in 5 deaths, the number of accidents
increased by 16 and casualties rose by 77. It is once again most gratifying
to record that there were no fatalities among children and only one child was
seriously injured. 58 children sustained slight injuries.
I am again indebted to the Town Clerk for making this statistica information available to me for inclusion in my Report.
