INFANT MORTALITY
During the year the number of infant deaths registered was 11,
five less than the figure for the previous year, giving a rate of
17.7 per 1,000 live births. The infant mortality rate for England
and Wales was 20.9.

Table: It will be noted from the following summary that of the 11 deaths recorded, 9 infants died before the age of one week indicating an early neo-natal mortality rate of 14.5.
