INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD
As required by current legislation, registers are maintained of all
persons carrying on trades connected with the manufacture, storage and
sale of food.
Early in the year, letters and notes in. connection with the "Handling,
Wrapping and Delivery of Food" were circulated to traders and their staffs,
and generally speaking, this action was much appreciated.
The following summary gives details of the types of businesses
receiving the attention of the Public Health Department:-

As required under Section 14 of the Food and Drugs Act, 1938, or
other local acts, the registrations of 98 premises for the storage and sale
of Ice Cream, and 32 premises for the sale of Preserved Foods, are effective.
