INFANT MORTALITY.
There were 15 deaths of infants under one year of age in Chelsea during
the year. The infant mortality rate (deaths under 1 year per 1,000 live
births) was 40 as compared with 33 in the. previous year.
In London as a whole the rate of infant mortality was 50 per 1,000
live births.
The causes of death in the various age groups are set out in Table
No. 15
