The notifications and deaths from pneumonia during the past two
years were as follows :—

Nursing Provision.—By arrangement with the Chelsea District
Nursing Association, all cases of Pneumonia receive adequate nursing
attention where the circumstances render this necessary.
Malaria.—The Regulations provide that the Medical Officer of
Health shall take all practical steps to ensure that persons suffering
from malaria are supplied with sufficient mosquito netting; receive
adequate quinine treatment during the attack and subsequently; and
receive appropriate advice as to precautions necessary to prevent the
spread of the disease.
No case of Malaria was notified during the year.
PUERPERAL FEVER AND PUERPERAL PYREXIA.
Seven cases of Puerperal Pyrexia were notified during the year. All
these were treated in hospital.
There were no notifications of Puerperal Fever during 1931.
The notifications of puerperal fever and puerperal pyrexia during the
past two years were as follows :—

OPHTHALMIA NEONATORUM.
Six cases of ophthalmia neonatorum were notified during the year.
Four of these cases were treated in hospital. As required by the Ministry
of Health, particulars of the notified cases are set out in the following
table
