Infectious Disease.
Houses from which infectious disease had been notified were
promptly inspected, and any defective sanitary arrangements
put in order, with the necessary stripping and cleansing of
walls, &c.
Under the sections of the Public Health Act (London), 1891,
relating to Nuisances, very little trouble was encountered, the
various owners and their agents appearing to readily carry out
the necessary requirements after service of Statutory Notices.
As a proof, it was not found necessary to take a case in Court
during the year.
Factory and Workshops Act, 1895, and Public Health
(London) Act, 1891.
Under the above Acts a systematic inspection is still being
carried on, and special attention being paid to the provision of
proper and suitable sanitary conveniences to the factories and
workshops in the Parish.
We are pleased to state that as a rule we find the employers
are very willing to carry out the necessary improvements when
their attention is directed to the same.

The following shows the work done in this direction during the year as compared with the previous year:—
