(6) No. of Cases in which temperature rose above 100.4 for 24 hours with rise of pulse rate.(4) 2 due to inflammation of breasts. Home visited daily by physician.
(7) No. of Cases notified as Ophthalmia Neonatorum with the result of treatment in each case.NIL.
(8) No. of Cases of "Inflammation of the Eyes " however slight.NIL.
(9) No. of Infants not entirely breastfed while in the Institutions with reasons why they were not brea t-fed.20. 4 Bottle Fed.

1 Mother Kidney disease and Mammary Abscess.
1 Mother Mammary abscess.
16. Suppler/wilt aril feeds, insufficient breast milk. (4 twins).
(10) No of Maternal Deaths, with causes.1. Severe A.P.H.
(11) No. of Foetal deaths (stillborn or within 10 days of birth) and their causes and the result of the postmortem examination if possible.12. 1 patient suffering from Phthisis Premature.
1 patient suffering from Pleurisy Premature.
1 patient suffering from Heart disease, premature.
1 patient suffering from Albuminuria, premature.
1 Hydraminos.
1 Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida.
4 Premature 8 mths., 6 mths., 7i mths., 6 mths.
2 F.T. 1 macerated—both vertex presentation. Post-mortem not held.

Voluntary Work Aided bt Borough Council.
Infant Welfare Centres.—There are four Voluntary Societies
for the promotion of Infant Welfare in the Borough, and in
spite of difficulties these continued their good work during
the year.
The Hammersmith Infant Welfare Centre, with its four
branch Centres, had its full complement of activities, including
Ante-natal Clinics, Infant Consultations and Weighings,
and Mothers' Classes of Instruction.
The Women's League of Service, at its one Centre in the
Borough, also held Ante-natal and Infant Consultations, and
supplied dinners to expectant and nursing mothers at reduced
rates.
A weekly Dental Clinic is held at this Centre.
