The sanitary condition of the Borough is not of a very
satisfactory nature and it is to be regretted that a very
considerable amount of overcrowding still exists. The Council's
Housing Scheme is practically completed, but up to the
present no improvement in housing conditions has resulted
in the congested areas.
During the year, 3,349 Intimation Notices and 991
Statutory Notices were served. This fact in itself tends to
show the condition of the Borough.
I am, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
J. B. HOWELL,
Medical Officer of Health.
